OGIE Diaz is undeserving of being infamously hailed as Patron Saint of Showbiz Breakups, after all.
Recently, for a change, the artist manager-cum-vlogger, through a blind item, broke a news story about an actor who sires a baby boy who he had to visit in the US.
The subject in question had scheduled his trip after wrapping up work for a TV series, which Ogie later mentioned to be that of Belle Mariano-Donny Pangilinan's "Can't Buy Me Love."
When none of Ogie's co-hosts on their online show guessed it right came the big reveal. Surprise of surprises, it's Albie Casiño!
"Mama Ogs, I'm giving you the permission to spill the beans only after I leave (for the US)!" Ogie shared, quoting the 31-year-old actor.
The scoop on Albie — the latest addition to the growing list of "binatang ama" this side of the world — served as the springboard for an engaging discussion among Ogie et al.
At first, Ogie's co-hosts had "shortlisted" director Rowell Santiago and Jake Ejercito (also in the series) to be any one of the "primary suspects" since both had also flown to the States.
They realized, however, that Rowell and Jake's purpose of travel was to experience the awesome sights of the Yosemite National Park in Sierra Nevada Mountains as part of their bucket list.
It was Ogie's turn then to share his private talk with Albie, "Actually, Albie couldn't wait to see and hug his child in person! Why wouldn't he, eh, the [unnamed] baby looks exactly like him!"
Albie thought the baby whose mother is a foreigner came as a belated birthday present for him.
Ogie continued, "He turned 31 last May 14. Much as he wanted to book a flight ASAP, Albie could not do so as he had to finish taping for the series."
Himself a proud openly gay father of five girls, Ogie could easily identify with Albie's profuse excitement to cuddle the baby himself, "The baby is both the first grandchild and first great grandchild on Albie's side, so the grannies are just as excited!"
Ogie's "change of image" though left his diehard online subscribers ravenous for the juicier part of his scoop.
These showbiz news-hungry peeps who won't settle for anything less want such questions answered: How and where did Albie meet the mother of the baby? If the mother is a foreigner, what's her nationality? She may be in the US, but that doesn't make her necessarily an American by blood, right? Now that they have a baby, are they getting married soon? But is Albie the marrying type to begin with? Is Albie coming home with the baby plus the mother?
Or are the answers to these questions in Ogie's followup story?
To borrow all hosts' opening spiel: "Ichika mo na, daliii!"

GUESS WHO? It's this very popular actress' (VPA) foul mouth that often gets her into trouble.
Once the VPA got for herself a handsome supposedly long-term endorsement contract with a reputable real estate developer.
The company bosses, however, decided never to renew the VPA's contract all because of her tactless description of the condo units up for sale.
"Is this one of the units I'm supposed to endorse?" the VPA asked the company staff who toured her around. "Isn't this unit fit only for pigeons?" she said while browsing around.
Came the following year, the developer made a wise decision of getting another celebrity endorser as its sales shot through the roof beyond their expectations.
