LISTED builder Megawide Construction Corp. remains optimistic about its growth prospects amid various challenges and opportunities in the domestic infrastructure landscape.
Chairman and CEO Edgar Saavedra last week highlighted Megawide's ongoing projects and future prospects.
He said the company remained committed to the construction of Carbon Market in Cebu City despite minor delays and that a proposed intermodal bus terminal project in Baguio was poised to proceed next year.
Saavedra also claimed that there had been progress with regard to its unsolicited bus rapid transit proposal.
Megawide is also interested in other public-private partnership projects, and Saavedra said they were waiting for the government to release an updated list.
He acknowledged challenges such as right-of-way issues for the Manila subway project, where Megawide is one of the contractors involved.
Saavedra claimed that Megawide remained financially stable and was pursuing fundraising efforts and strategic investments.
Megawide's shares closed at P3.12 apiece on Friday, down by 0.32 percent.
