THE Philippines' best bet to bring home the next Miss Universe crown, Chelsea Manalo, was also awarded as ambassador of the country's largest hotel operator, Megaworld Hotels and Resorts (MHR).

After an epic evening of beauty and brains, Manalo did not only take home the much-coveted crown but also the MHR's Sampaguita: Woman of Substance award.

The reigning queen took home P200,000 worth of stays from across MHR's 13 hotels, seven brands and more than 8,500 room keys, including those in the pipeline.

She also received MHR's signature sampaguita bouquet, designed by Serge Igoñia, one of the Philippines' most iconic floral designers known for his use of the country's national flower.
