CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga: A weeklong police campaign against illegal drugs in Central Luzon led to the confiscation of P5.7 million worth of dangerous drugs, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported on Monday, May 6.
PRO3 said 108 operations were held from April 29 to May 5, resulting in the arrest of 180 individuals involved in the illicit drugs trade.
The operations yielded a substantial haul of illegal substances, including 838.53 grams of shabu and 220.44 grams of marijuana with a combined standard drug price of P5,728,446.80.
These achievements underscore PRO3's unwavering commitment in eradicating the scourge of illegal drugs in Central Luzon.
The arrests made and the significant drug seizures represent a major blow to drug trafficking networks operating in the region, police said.
PRO3 regional director BGen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. commended the dedication and hard work of the police personnel involved in the operations.
"The success of these operations reflects the vigilance and determination of our law enforcement officers to protect the public from the dangers of illegal drugs and to uphold the rule of law," Hidalgo said.
