THE Asian Center for Legal Excellence Inc. (ACLEx) held its Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Series No. 69 last February 29, March 1, 7, and 8, 2024 at Aruga by Rockwell in Makati City.
This was the first face-to-face lecture series conducted by the Supreme Court-accredited MCLE provider since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through the participation of more than 100 lawyers from all over the Philippines with diverse legal backgrounds and practices, ACLEx concluded its 69th series in style – remaining true to its vision of offering premium MCLE sessions and topnotch services.
Now on its 15th year, lectures about new developments in the Philippine legal landscape were presented by some of the country's brightest legal minds.
The resource speakers for this series were Dean Cecilio Duka, Associate Dean Rita Linda Jimeno, lawyers Raymond Fortun, Ray Paolo Santiago, Nikki Sarah Jimeno, Karen Olivia Jimeno, Eric Recalde, Aliakhbar Jumrani, Erickson Balmes, Antonio Alejandro Rebosa and Arthur Autea, Education Undersecretary Gerard Chan, Dean Sergio Ceniza, former House Rep. Neri Colmenares and former Judge Marjorie Uyengco-Nolasco.
ACLEx management team head lawyer Candy Angliongto commended the attendees who took part in this pioneering series.
"Our MCLE experience should be like no other. We make sure that the subjects we offer are timely and relevant in our society. At ACLEx, we aspire to provide our participants with utmost comfort and convenience. We believe that we should comply with our MCLE requirements in style," she said.
As the country continues to recover from the effects of the pandemic, ACLEx aims to serve the Philippine legal community by delivering the finest MCLE experience to Filipino lawyers.
This is in line with its mission to be the gold standard of accredited MCLE providers in the Philippines. It held seven more face-to-face MCLE seminars in 2024 so far starting with its MCLE Series No. 70 at the One Shangri-La Place in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City on April 18, 19, 25 and 26.
To accommodate lawyers who would want to finish their 8th compliance period before April 15 next year as mandated by the Supreme Court, ACLEx will conduct at least six face-to-face seminars in 2025.
However, ACLEx Chairman and President Hilario Paredes assured the legal community that "ACLEx will still continue to offer online, on-demand MCLE lectures
and seminars."
These curated videos enable lawyers all over the world to stay updated with current developments in the Philippine legal sphere wherever they may be – at their own pace and convenience.
