THE British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (BCCP) held the 12th Great British Golf Tournament at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club on April 11, 2024. Present at the event were BCCP Board of Trustees, who commenced the ceremonial tee off, namely BCCP Chairman William Bailey, Executive Director and Trustee Chris Nelson, and Trustee Andy Yates.
The event was held in partnership with FWD and other major company sponsors, including Philippine National Bank, Shell Pilipinas Corp., William Hill, Federal Land Inc., Jollibee Foods Corp., Autohub Group, Etihad Airways, BDO Unibank Inc., Britpart Philippines Inc., Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc., Corebilt, DMCI Homes, Entertain, Maybank Philippines Inc., Purefoods Deli, and Punongbayan and Araullo Grant Thornton, among many others.
Previously, BCCP returned its 2023 Great British Golf Tournament after a 3-year-long hiatus. Further noting its success, Nelson emphasized the significant increase in this year's event participants, sponsors and partners.
Nelson said: "It was a great attendance with a total of 97 players. What you see here is a wide range of talents, and we want to keep having the golf tournament."
Nelson acknowledged the role of the chamber in bringing together individuals from the sports and business community while also representing the British and non-British companies in the Philippines.
