GMA Network recognized at Lyceum, University of Perpetual Help events

Kapuso personalities and programs have once again earned the trust of the academe, winning a total of 14 accolades from the 2nd Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards of the Lyceum Philippines University Cavite and the Perpetualites' Choice Awards of the University of Perpetual Help JONELTA System.

Earning the award for Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence in TV News Reporting were GMA Integrated News reporters Mariz Umali (Female Category) and Ivan Mayrina (Male Category).

In the field of radio, honorees for Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence in Radio News Reporting were veteran broadcast journalist Susan Enriquez (Female Category) and Joel Reyes Zobel (Male Category).

Barangay LS 97.1 Forever’s Papa Dudut wins the Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence in Radio Disc Jockeying (Male Category). Mariz Umali receives the Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence in TV News Reporting (Female Category). Raffy Tima receives the Best News Program award for ‘24 Oras.’ Howie Severino accepts the Best Documentary Program award for ‘I-Witness.’

A testament to their excellence in storytelling and public service, Maki Pulido and Drew Arellano received the Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence in Public Affairs Hosting for Female and Male Category, respectively.

Furthermore, Barangay LS 97.1 Forever's Papa Dudut added another feather to his cap as he won the Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence in Radio Disc Jockeying for the Male Category.

The Kapuso Network was likewise honored at the first-ever Perpetualites' Choice Awards.

Winning as the Best News Program was GMA Integrated News' award-winning flagship newscast "24 Oras."GMA Integrated News anchor Atom Araullo was named Best Male News Personality. Multi-platform leader and multi-awarded show "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" and its award-winning host Jessica Soho received accolades as the Best Public Affairs Program and Best Female News Personality, respectively.Adding to the list of awardees was GMA Public Affairs' long-running documentary program "I-Witness," which was chosen as the Best Documentary Program.

Garnering awards for GMA Entertainment Group were the programs "Family Feud" and "Pepito Manaloto," which triumphed as the Best Game Show and Best TV Program, respectively.

The Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding individuals and groups in the media and communication industry who have achieved exceptional success in their respective fields. The Perpetualites' Choice Awards, on the other hand, honors shows and individuals who displayed dedication, creativity, and resilience in shaping Filipino culture.
