The second entry titled "Karatig Express" by Alexander Alipio, Alyana de Guzman, Rei Labang, Romeo Landayan and Leslie Salvador has been recognized as the Best Radio News Production. It was also accorded the Best Male News Anchor, Best Script and Best Infomercial.
The PUP Radio Festival 2024 aimed at celebrating the talents, skills, creativity and resourcefulness of aspiring radio practitioners across the country in line with the PUP College of Communications' mandate of molding responsible communication students and producing competitive communication professionals.
In a related development, BulSU faculty members and students registered five utility models and 10 industrial designs from January to March 2024 at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
On one hand, the IPOPHL Registered Utility Model gained a seven-year protection period that safeguards the technical solutions from unauthorized commercial use without the registrant's authorization.
On the other, IPOPHL Registered Industrial Designs are protected for five years from the application's filing date and prevent third parties from making, selling or importing articles bearing or embodying a design that is a copy, or substantially a copy, of the protected design, when such acts are undertaken for commercial purposes, and can be renewed for not more than two consecutive periods of five years each.
IPOPHL is a government agency that grants and registers patents, trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs in the Philippines. It also provides assistance, training, enforcement and dispute resolution services.
