ComChest, Sikap launch 'Wellness program: Free karate training'

The Community Chest Foundation Inc. (ComChest) and Sikaran-Karate Association of the Philippines (Sikap) launched their "Wellness program: Free karate lesson" joint project for the youth and senior citizens recently.

It was a successful launch, and the students underwent Mael-into, the basic karate drills from No. 1 to 12 that formed the basis of the students' promotion from white belt to green belt. Their belting graduation would be held on May 2, 2024.

The next training program after the basic karate drills would be concentrated on self-discipline and defense, pinan and the kata, being the advanced forms of karate drills. All the students would undergo all these forms in order to finish the advanced techniques for their promotion to the higher positions, namely brown and black belts.

Cindy Dollente Ang, the executive director of ComChest, together with Manny Inserto, the national president and training instructor of Sikap, announced that the next registration and acceptance of new students would be at ComChest Center, Malate, Manila from April 4 to May 1, 2024.
