MANILA, Philippines: Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala and French partner Estelle Cascino continue to roll in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Open 3C Seine-et-Marne in the town of Croissy-Beaubourg in France, as they head to the women's doubles finals.
In Friday's doubles semifinals, they defeated the Russian-Luxembourgish pair of Kira Pavlova and Marie Weckerie in two sets, 6-3, 6-3, to punch their finals ticket.
It is a major bounce back for the world number 171, after exiting the women's singles at the Round of 16 on Wednesday.
Eala and Cascino are set to face the top-seeded British-French pair of Maia Lumsden and Jessika Ponchet in the finals. Lumsden and Ponchet defeated the all-American sister pair of Carmen and Ivana Corley in three sets during their semifinal match, 2-6, 7-5, 10-0.
