GENERAL TRIAS CITY, Cavite: The local government here recently opened a 3-hectare People's Park in Green Breeze Village in Barangay Biclatan.

The inauguration rites of the recreational park was led by Mayor Luis "Jon-Jon" Ferrer 4th. He was joined by Cavite 6th District Rep. Antonio Ferrer, Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen, city councilors, and Liga ng mga Barangay federation president Ireneo Hatid.

The urban park in the upland part of the city features a bike trail, jogger pathway, elevated nature walkway, and skate park complete with comfort rooms, outdoor fitness, playground for kids, and an amphitheater.

The 1-hectare phase 1 of the park will be opened to the public on April 2, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for bikers and joggers.

This is the second bike trail in the city, the first one being in the Riverpark Trails in Barangay Navarro under the Federal Land Communities which was opened on January 20.

The 1.8-kilometer bike trails were approved by Federal Land executives and General Trias local government officials.
