JUNIOR Achievement of the Philippines Inc. (JA Philippines), a nonprofit organization, dedicated to preparing young people for success in the global economy, and EY Philippines, a leading professional services firm, launched its newest initiative called EY STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Learning Launch and its corresponding STEM Learning App.
The initiative aimed to empower young women to pursue careers in STEM.
"It's an honor to be a partner of EY Philippines in implementing a program that empowers young Filipinas to strengthen their skills in the STEM fields, and we are looking forward to having an impact on their chosen career paths," shared Krishna Alejandrino, executive director of JA Philippines.
The EY STEM Tribe program represented a collaborative venture between EY Ripples and Women in Technology in Global Consulting, uniquely tailored to empower young women and drive a lasting surge in female representation within the technology sector, spanning the educational journey from school to the workplace.
As the program went into full swing, the stakeholders involved believed that the presence of EY STEM within young and motivated women could aid in the development of the necessary qualities to pursue and lead in STEM fields.
The EY STEM Tribe program would empower young women to develop essential STEM and leadership skills, build confidence and expand their professional networks.
By providing young women with support and resources, EY STEM Tribe has the potential to inspire a generation of female STEM leaders and contribute to a more inclusive and prosperous future.
