Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala advanced to the quarterfinal round of the women's singles at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) W50 tournament at the TC Empire tennis complex in Trnava, Slovakia on Thursday.
In the round of 16, the world's 180th ranked player of the Women's Tennis Association defeated Lina Gjorcheska of North Macedonia in two sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Eala's latest victory came after she defeated Hungary's Anna Bondár on Wednesday, also in two sets.
Bondár eliminated Eala in Porto, Portugal last week en route to winning the ITF World Tennis Tour W75.
Eala scored a payback win this time.
