MANILA, Philippines: THREE weather systems -- the easterlies, northeast monsoon or "amihan" and localized thunderstorms -- are affecting the country and could bring isolated downpours and thunderstorms in some areas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina said that fair weather will prevail in most parts of the country but there could be scattered rain showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or at night.
The northeast monsoon is affecting Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon where partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated light rains is likely in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the easterlies along with localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in other parts of the country.
