Batangas State University holds virtual classes due to bomb threat

THE Batangas State University on Saturday, February 24, 2024, ordered the holding of virtual classes because of a bomb threat.

El Jay Ilasin, an Accountancy student and editor-in-chief of the school's The Lathe Newsletter, told The Manila Times that a text message was received by the Supreme Student Council around 10:30 a.m. saying that "high performing bombs" were planted inside the campus and were set to explode anytime.

The Office of the Chancellor instructed all students and employees to leave the school.

No bomb was found and police authorities are investigating the incident.
