CIAC targets 10% growth in revenues

CLARK International Airport Corp. (CIAC) is looking to generate a 10-percent increase in revenues this year to P750 million from 2022's P680 million.

"Hopefully, we'll hit the P1 billion mark by 2025 or 2026," CIAC President Arrey Perez told reporters on Monday.

The revenues are expected to airport operations and from leases of industrial locators.

Perez noted that joint venture projects posed a challenge, saying "there's an incubation period before we can start earning money."

CIAC currently has seven public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the pipeline worth an estimated P30 billion.

"Our vision for the PPP projects, at least the phase one, will all be completed by 2028," Perez said.

Apart from the seven flagship projects, CIAC also owns small plots of land that will be made available for commercial developments.

"You can't just release it all at once," Perez said.

"You also have to increase the value [and] slowly bring out that land for the market. When you flood the market, there's also a danger of saturating it."

CIAC has also inked a partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Agriculture to establish an P8.5-billion mega food hub in Clark City, Pampanga.
