NEU holds nameplate pinning ceremony, signs MoA with adopted community

THE New Era University (NEU) Pampanga Branch College of Education held its First Nameplate Pinning Ceremony for 4th Year Bachelor Elementary Education (BEED) students on Feb. 2, 2024.

The ceremony was spearheaded by NEU President Alberto Domingo Jr. and was attended by CED faculty members and officials, and students together with their parents.

On the same day, the NEU-Pampanga Branch inked a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Barangay Malpitic in San Fernando City, Pampanga. The barangay will serve as the social laboratory, an adopted community, of the university concerning its instruction, research and development, and outreach activities.

NEU was represented by Domingo while Malpitic was represented by Barangay Chairman Norberto Lusung.

Based on the 2020 Census, Barangay Malpitic has a population of 7,509 which represents 2.12 percent of the total population of the city.
