(UPDATE) STRONG Group Athletics player and former NBA veteran Dwight Howard shows his love for the Philippines by enjoying food from a local fast food chain.

On his X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, after his team defeated the United Arab Emirates 82-66 in Dubai, Howard shared a video from a hotel room eating what he called "The Best Chicken in the Philippines."

"I got some good Filipino food ... and the food was A+ from the Chicken Inasal to the Palabok, the pork barbecue, and Halo Halo ... I would order it from anywhere in the world if I could!" he said.

Before leaving for Dubai, he claimed he ordered from that fast food chain every day while he was in the Philippines and said he was going to "miss it so much."

Howard said he might want to fly back to the country just for the chicken.

Howard and his Strong Group Athletics team are currently in the UAE for the 33rd Dubai International Basketball Championship and, as of press time, are set to face Syrian side Al Wahda Sports Club on Saturday night (Manila time).
