FARM Fresh believes in Jolina de la Cruz's talent.
That's why the Foxies pounced on the opportunity to sign the former F2 Logistics Cargo Mover in free agency despite her having an injury.
Farm Fresh assistant team manager Kiara Cruz said that the whole team is fully behind de la Cruz as she recovers from her partial ACL on her right knee, which will sideline her for about nine months.
"We are aware that she can't play yet because of her previous injury from last conference but, honestly, I am a believer of Jolina's talent and passion for the sport. Even Boss Frank (Lao), believes this and we pursued her and Jolina probably saw how genuine our intentions are," said Cruz on Wednesday.
"We are very confident that she'll regain her form and become a better athlete after this. Rest assured, we will all be behind her in her recovery."
De la Cruz incurred the injury on November 30 during a dig attempt in the second set of the F2 Logistics-PLDT tiff in the 2023 PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena.
The 24-year-old spiker from De La Salle finally went under the knife on Wednesday.
"Surgery was a success!!! Now, let's get this recovery started. Day 1," wrote de la Cruz in a Facebook post.
Aside from de la Cruz, Farm Fresh loaded up for the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season by signing spiker Caitlin Viray and setter Anj Legacion.
