What is Deli meat listeria outbreak? Is it fatal and will it lead to a meat ban?

A countrywide listeria outbreak connected to Boar's Head deli meats has caused 59 illnesses and ten fatalities in 19 states. The infected foods have been recalled, and the outbreak is mostly affecting people with low immune systems, pregnant women, and the elderly. Listeria infections can be dangerous, but meat bans are unlikely.
