On Sunday, French police evacuated the Eiffel Tower area after a shirtless man was seen climbing the landmark hours before the Olympics closing ceremony. The man, spotted scaling the 330-meter tower above the Olympic rings, was detained by police at 2:45 p.m. Visitors were briefly locked on the second floor but allowed to exit 30 minutes later.
