Walmart opposes legislation requiring panic buttons in stores, citing potential for false alarms, despite New York State Senate passing a bill that would mandate big retail chains to implement them. Walmart's executive VP of corporate affairs expressed concerns over the practicality of installing panic buttons in all of its 4,700 stores nationwide.
