India's April-September fiscal deficit at Rs 4.75 lakh crore, narrows on-year to 29.4% of FY25 aim

India's fiscal deficit for April to September, or the first half of this fiscal year, was at 4.75 lakh crore rupees, equivalent to 29.4% of annual estimates, narrowing from the previous year's 39.3%. The government aims to narrow the fiscal gap to 4.9% of GDP in this financial year from 5.6% a year earlier.
