Former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan emphasized the need for India to focus on labour-intensive industries to generate employment. Despite 7% economic growth, job creation remains insufficient, particularly in manufacturing. Rajan highlighted the success of Vietnam and Bangladesh in labour-intensive sectors and urged India to follow suit.
