Budget 2024: The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) has appealed to the government to introduce strategic measures in the upcoming Union Budget for 2014-25 to support affordable housing, direct taxation, and financial incentives for homebuyers. CREDAI is calling for a revision of the affordable housing threshold, which has been fixed at Rs 45 lakhs since 2017, despite a 24% increase in housing prices in India since June 2018, as per data from the National Housing Bank.
