Dubai's Al Khaleej Sugar is aiming to increase production at its sugar refinery this year, targeting up to 1.5 million tons. The refinery operated at 40% of capacity last year, producing around 600,000 metric tons. The increase is attributed to competition from India being curtailed due to bad weather in the country.
