Budget for cultural bodies linked to Tibetans slashed to Rs 20 crore

The Indian government has reduced the budget for Tibet House, the Dalai Lama's cultural centre, and other Buddhist institutions from ₹50.19 crore in the current fiscal year to ₹20.19 crore for the next fiscal. The reduction is attributed to demands made by these institutions, which work to preserve and protect Tibetan culture, which is under attack from China.
