The Centre has informed the Supreme Court that it is yet to decide on a mechanism to regulate cryptocurrencies and investigate related offences. Additional Solicitor General Vikramjit Banerjee stated that the government is deliberating on the regulation of digital currencies and needs more time to file an affidavit with updated information.
