Power Trust ups bid for Hiranmaye Energy after Damodar Valley Corp emerges as top bidder

Power Trust increased its offer for Hiranmaye Energy after Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) emerged as the top bidder with a Rs 1,500 crore offer. Hiranmaye Energy, undergoing insolvency, operates three 150 MW units. DVC outbid other contenders including Jindal Power and Vedanta. The thermal power company owes Rs 5,291 crore to lenders.
