Emissions-free truck prices need to drop by 50% to compete with diesel, study says

A McKinsey study indicates that prices of emissions-free trucks need to drop by up to half to become a viable alternative to diesel models. Currently, electric trucks cost 2.5-3 times more than diesel ones. To meet EU climate targets, the share of electric and hydrogen-powered trucks should rise to 40% of new sales by 2030.
