On Wednesday, the power ministry approved ₹3,600 crore for updating the power distribution facilities in Gurugram and Faridabad under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme. The project includes 500 feeders, 20 new Gas Insulated Substations, and 3,500 km of underground cabling. Approximately 5,000 new distribution transformers will be installed, and the network will undergo significant automation for better fault detection and power restoration.
