5G phones capture 79% of market in Q2 as shipments surge by half

In Q2 2024, India's 5G smartphone shipments increased by 56% YoY, reaching a 79% market share, as reported by CyberMedia Research. Vivo topped the segment with a 21% share, and Samsung followed closely. Smartphones between ₹10,000 and ₹13,000 saw a massive growth. Overall, India's smartphone shipments fell 4% YoY.
