On Friday morning in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, an empty passenger train derailed after colliding with a large banyan tree that had fallen on the track due to recent heavy rainfall. The derailment occurred between Bhanupratappur and Gudum villages as the train traveled from Dallirajhara to Antagarh. The loco pilot sustained minor injuries.
