HSBC Holdings Plc announced the appointment of Georges Elhedery as the group chief executive, effective September 2. The appointment marks its third CEO change in less than eight years. Elhedery, currently the CFO, will succeed Noel Quinn. With a background in trading and investment banking, Elhedery previously led HSBC's Middle East and North Africa region.
