State-owned Coal India Ltd (CIL) reported an 8% increase in coal production to 189.3 million tonnes (MT) in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, surpassing the target. The company achieved 100% satisfaction, with all seven subsidiaries showing positive growth and five surpassing their targets.
