Chennai's Integral Coach Factory (ICF), a unit of Indian Railways, is readying the sleeper variant Vande Bharat trains. These trains will be put into service for long-distance overnight journeys soon after the next government takes charge, the officials said. The Vande Bharat trains currently being used have only chair seating, limiting their use to daytime routes which are covered in a few hours.
