Sudden rain, storm damage Guwahati airport, several flights diverted

A sudden downpour accompanied by a storm caused havoc at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati on Sunday. Operations were briefly halted, and six flights were diverted to other destinations due to the storm. The strong winds uprooted a large tree at the Oil India complex near the airport, blocking a road, but airport authorities quickly cleared it.
