Adani Enterprises has inaugurated its first unit of the copper refinery at Mundra, Gujarat, through its subsidiary Kutch Copper, marking its entry into the metals sector. The company will invest $1.2 billion in the first phase of the project, which will have an annual capacity of 500,000 tonnes. The second phase will add another 500,000 tonnes, making it the world's largest single-location custom copper smelter upon completion.
