Coal India Ltd (CIL) achieved a record production of 703.91 million tonnes (MT) of coal until March 7 in the current fiscal, surpassing last year's output of 703.20 MT. The Coal Ministry attributed this success to various measures including the Mine Developer and Operator model, mechanization, and modernization of mines.
