Air India has signed a 12-year agreement with SIA Engineering Company Ltd (SIAEC) for extensive component support for its Airbus A320 family planes. SIAEC, the engineering arm of Singapore Airlines group, will acquire a 25.1% stake in Air India after a merger process. The agreement includes access to SIAEC's inventory pool and repair services for airframe and on-wing engine components.
