Uber Eats is set to launch autonomous food delivery robots in Tokyo in partnership with Cartken and Mitsubishi Electric. The robots, called Model C, can carry up to 27 litres of cargo and navigate sidewalks at a walking pace. Customers can order through the app and choose robot delivery, with Mitsubishi Electric overseeing operations.
