The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has provided clarification to the telecom department regarding the acceptance of undertakings given by companies on foreign shareholding. According to an official familiar with the matter, DPIIT has offered clarity on foreign shareholding in accordance with Press Note 3 of 2020.
