A massive fire broke out in Tondo, Manila on Sunday, displacing residents and prompting a swift response from authorities.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the blaze at Isla Putting Bato started around 8 a.m. and reached first alarm within minutes. It reached Task Force Bravo shortly before noon—a level requiring large-scale firefighting response.
At least 20 fire trucks and an ambulance were deployed to the site as firefighters battled the flames under challenging conditions. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the full extent of the damage.
Emergency responders continue to monitor the situation and efforts to assist displaced residents are underway.
