MANILA, Philippines — Forthsky Padrigao fueled University of Santo Tomas' (UST) rebound win at National University's (NU) expense, 67-64, in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday. Down seven at 53-60 in the last 5:46, Padrigao orchestrated the Growling Tigers' 14-4 finishing kick including the go-ahead jumper with 29 ticks to go and the insurance free throw in the final 1.4 seconds. Padrigao finished with eight points, five assists and three rebounds for the Growling Tigers, who improved to third place with a 3-1 slate and rebounded from their defeat to Adamson last Sunday. Mo Tounkara banged 15 points and 10 rebounds while Christian Manaytay pumped 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists in the win. Steve Nash Enriquez racked up 17 points on four triples laced with five assists for the Bulldogs who dropped to 1-3 at sixth spot.
