SM Cinemas' "AuGhost Exclusives Film Festival" with reduced ticket prices at P150.
AuGhost Exclusives features four films: two from Thailand—"Haunted Universities 3" and "The Cursed Land;" one from Taiwan —"Mystery Writers;" and one from Cambodia —"Z-Mom." These films, which exclusively debuted in Philippine cinemas via SM, were box office hits in their respective countries.
"Haunted Universities 3" is a horror anthology with three campus-related stories, while "The Cursed Land" follows a widower and his daughter as they confront a djinn unleashed in their rundown home. "Mystery Writers" draws from the real-life 1984 Jin Xin Building fire in Taiwan, which claimed 19 lives, and turns it into a horror drama. "Z-Mom" is set at a holiday resort where a mother becomes a hero to save her family from a zombie horde that has overrun the island.
Once relegated to B-movie status, today's horror films play a key role in keeping the film industry robust. Enjoy this taste of horror, Asia-style.
