CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police dismantled a drug den and arrested eight drug pushers, including a Korean, in coordinated two-day anti-illegal drug operations across Central Luzon.
On Friday, the Subic Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with PDEA Zambales, Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Zambales PIU, and Zambales 2nd PMFC, raided a drug den in Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales, resulting in the arrest of five individuals, including the alleged leader, known only as alias "Negro," a 21-year-old resident of said barangay.
The other suspects were identified as aliases 'Lon,' 38; 'Bernie,' 47; 'Juvie,' 42; and 'Mon,' 31, all residents of Barangay Calapacuan.
Seized from them were 53 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P360,400.
On the same day, two drug pushers identified as alias "Putol," 41, and alias "Kulot," 27, yielded 60 grams of shabu worth P408,000 during a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of Rizal MPS-DEU, 303rd Maneuver RMFB3, and 2nd PMFC Neppo, with the assistance of PDEA, in Barangay Poblacion Sur, Rizal, Nueva Ecija.
On Saturday morning, the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit and the Angeles Police Station 2 arrested a 43-year-old Korean identified as "Kim/July Kim," in another buy-bust in Barangay Pampang in Angeles City.
Twelve tablets of ecstasy, valued at P20,400.00, and 0.5 grams of suspected ketamine, were confiscated from the Korean.
Police Regional Office 3 Officer in Charge BGen. Benjamin Sembrano lauded the police, saying the operations underscored the relentless efforts of the Philippine National Police and the PDEA to combat illegal drug activities.
He said the successful arrests and seizures serve as a testament to their ongoing commitment to maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law.
