Meneses tapped as NU women's volley coach

(UPDATE) THE National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs are keen to keep their title defense with coach Sherwin Meneses calling the shots.

The veteran coach led the Creamline Cool Smashers to five Premier Volleyball League (PVL) titles and now aims to bring his championship tactics to the UAAP.

After eight years, Meneses makes a comeback in the collegiate league after coaching Adamson University for four seasons (2012-2016).

He is now tapped to steer the ship of NU to their quest for another title, replacing former head coach Norman Miguel.

After Creamline's victory over Choco Mucho, the 42-year-old coach confirmed this development but barred from giving more details as he awaits the details from the management.

With high-caliber gunners Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon aiming for another title, Meneses' lofty experience could bolster the Lady Bulldogs' bid in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament.

Meneses coached the national team when Creamline was tapped to represent the country in the AVC Challenge Cup 2022.

In 2023, Meneses was part of the coaching staff of the national team in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
