'Habagat' continues to bring rains to Luzon, including Metro Manila, western Visayas

MANILA, Philippines — Luzon and the western sections of Visayas will have rains due to the effects of the southwest monsoon or "habagat," the country's state weather bureau said on Saturday.

In its early morning bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan was forecast to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon and western Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The weather bureau said there was no active tropical cyclone outside the country, as of posting time.

The temperature range for Saturday is at 26.4 to 31.8 degrees Celsius, while relative humidity ranges from 74 to 94 percent.
