MANILA, Philippines — Filipina rower Joanie Delgaco got relegated to 'D final' (lower classification race) after finishing fifth in the Paris Olympics women's single sculls semifinal C where the top 3 advanced to the 'C final' (higher classification race) at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, July 31 (Manila time).
Delgaco, the first female rower from the Philippines to make the Olympics, clocked 8:00.18 in the 2000-meter race.
The 26-year-old races one last time in the 'D final' and tries to salvage the highest possible ranking she could get on August 2 at 4:30 p.m.
