The Philippine entertainment industry mourns the loss of Leonardo "Remy" Monteverde, husband of film producer and Regal Films owner, Mother Lily Monteverde.
A beloved figure known for his unwavering support of the local film industry, he passed away on July 29 at the age of 86 due to pneumonia.
Monteverde is a former basketball player for San Beda in High School and for Mapua College. He was born on December 25, 1937.
"Remy" is remembered as a loving husband to Mother Lily, a pillar of strength and guidance to his children, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. His legacy lives on through his children, including Roselle, who continues the family tradition at Regal Films, Dondon, who has made his mark in the industry with Reality, and Coach Goldwin, who leads the UP Fighting Maroons, Winston and Sherida, who manages the Imperial Palace Suites.
The wake for Leonardo Monteverde is currently being held at the 38 Valencia Events Place in Quezon City until Friday, August 2. Visitation hours are from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., with daily masses at 7 p.m.
The Monteverde family extends their gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time.
